Smallville: Chloe Sullivan comes to comics
After years of adaptation of many elements and components of the original Superman comic genre Smallville television, the magazine finally took one of the characters in Smallville to be part of an upcoming issue. Chloe Sullivan, played by Allison Mack CW cult series, debuted in Superman issue 674, which stands out is March 12.
Comics writer Kurt Busiek recently told Newsarama which was inspired by another character of Superman, Jimmy Olsen, who also made the leap from one medium to another. According to Busiek, Jimmy was introduced for the first time in the traditions of the Superman radio series in 1940 entitled The Adventures Superman. Only a year after her character was embedded in the comics.
"I I was thinking: "Yes, and the next obvious choice would be to someone like Chloe, but the problem with this is …" and then bam, a way of how it has put in place that I thought the book really served well and made her a stronger and more useful and enjoyable to vote. One that would give us some elements of the distribution structure that have been lost for years, but a new and different, "revealed Busiek.
Meet point, however, the movement to provide for Smallville Chloe Superman 674, has to do with his performance so that they resemble Chloe, without sounding too close to the actress Allison Mack. It deals with issues similar to men must be considered. Another challenge was finding a niche for the character of Chloe, not overlap with those already firmly fixed in the universe Superman cartoon.
"The problem we face when we left it in the same environment as the issue is that I had to fulfill two key functions – home of the girl and the rapporteur – And these functions are very solidly filled in the distribution Adults Superman, Lana and Lois, "said Busiek." Therefore, you must have a different twist, which lets play a different role one of them. She is the younger sister of someone Clark went to school, not a co-Clark 's own. As a result, is the new student internship at the Daily Planet, fresh out of journalism school and eager to make a name for itself. It will make it clearly different from Lois and Lana, and at the time same time more familiar to fans of the series. "
